Can a shed withstand Texas heat?
The structure of a quality wood shed handles Texas heat without trouble — engineered siding and proper framing don't warp or fail from sun alone. The real issue is how hot it gets inside. A closed, un-vented shed can top 120–130°F on a hot day, which is fine for storage but miserable for a workspace.
Three fixes keep it usable: ridge or gable venting to let hot air escape, insulation if you'll spend time inside, and lighter siding and roof colors that reflect heat. Add a window or two for cross-ventilation and even a plain storage shed stays far more comfortable.
